Professional Connection Post A Note Interview

If you missed our  Post A Note visit with  Chynna Laird, she’s an inspiration to anyone who wants to make a career of writing.  She is a psychology student, freelance writer and author living in Edmonton, Alberta with her three daughters [Jaimie (six), Jordhan (four), and baby Sophie (one)] and baby boy, Xander (two and a half). Her passion is helping children and families living with Sensory Processing Disorder and other special needs.  And on top of all of this…she writes.  A lot!

The conversation is still up, so drop over to the Post a Note to see what Chynna had to say about all she does.

Daily Devotions For Writers  rests next to my printer, Nancy Kopp tells us,  where I can reach it easily every morning before beginning to work. The writer’s life lessons the book contains offer advice, relate trials and also inject a bit of humor. Some of the writers talk of a revelation that came when least expected. Most of the devotions include a scripture verse and/or a prayer—sometimes a quote.

After reading the daily devotional book for a few months, a pattern appeared to emerge in the guise of a two-sided coin. On one side of the coin, I sensed frustration from so many of the writers. It appears to be a universal theme for both seasoned and new writers. But flip the coin over, and satisfaction is evident.   She has some great advice for all of you struggling with the frustrations and satisfactions of writing.  Do check out:  A Two Sided Coin in Writing Craft – Boosting Creativity.
