Long Ridge Website Submission Guidelines
I am looking for well crafted nonfiction articles on writing for use on the Long Ridge website, suitable for novice and aspiring writers. If it has to do with writing and publishing, I am interested.
Articles should run between 800 – 1500 words.
Do check Surviving and Thriving categories on the website…I need articles for all those categories. I have less need for
Articles in the Writing Craft section.
Reprints are fine. I prefer a query, but you can send the entire piece if you choose. If you do not receive a reply from me, my spam filter ate your submission.
I am buying nonexclusive electronic rights for one year for $50.00 with an option to purchase additional use on the website or in a website newsletter for $25.00 more.
Please do not send me your submissions in the body of an email. I prefer an attached .doc file.
Hints: If a category is very sparsely filled, I am much more likely to buy your article than if you write for a category that already has ten or fifteen articles in it.
While I prefer articles from published writers – especially articles on craft -- I have published articles from Long Ridge students and unpublished writers. If you have a good idea, try me.
